Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman Book Review

Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman Book Review

Thinking Fast and Slow is a book on behavioral psychology and decision-making the book summarizes research that Kahneman conducted over decades often in collaboration with most Watsky after reading

This book definitely go ahead and research a bit about our mouaz towards key because you are going to get a lot of new information and I found his personality to be really amazing now coming back to Daniel Kahneman

He is an israeli-american psychologist and economist notable for his work on the psychology of judgment and decision-making as well as behavioral economics for which he was awarded the 2002 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences which is like so amazing

Now the central thesis in this book is basically a dichotomy between two modes of thought the first one is system 1 which is the fast thinking brain and the system 2 which is the slow thinking brain

So system 1 is fast it's instinctive and it's also emotional it's also capable of making snap judgments it jumps to conclusions and make decisions based on biases and heuristics on the other hand

System 2 is slow deliberate and more logical it's also used for analysis problem-solving and deeper evaluation now the main purpose of reading this book is to understand your brain properly and your thought process a lot of times we don't understand

Why we do such certain things and why do we judge others and why do we you know jump into some conclusions

So when you understand your own brain your own fast thinking and slow thinking brain you realize that ok this is the reason why I was being like that and when you understand yourself it is better for you because the next time will not judge others that way or you will not jump into sir conclusions that you would have if you hadn't read this book

Now personally I found this book really enjoyable I enjoyed this book thoroughly and it was a great experience for me to read this book I made a lot of notes and I made sure that I learned from this book

But the fact is the book is pretty lengthy and it can get tedious at points there are a lot of experiments and there is a lot of explanation

So that's why I feel like not everyone will enjoy this book and it's a truth not everyone enjoys insightful books because it demands a lot of reading and a lot of focus and not everyone is willing to do that

But if you are someone who loves to read such books who loves to absorb each and every bit of information then this book is for you and I don't really think that the language was difficult it was not difficult

It's just that there's a lot of explanation and description so it's lengthy it's tedious but it's not difficult anyone can understand it the English is really simple

So that's not really the problem the problem is that it's lengthy and it demands a lot of concentration from the readers so if you are someone who is willing to invest that kind of concentration and time into this book

Then this book is definitely for you and personally I feel this book is so worth it it's really worth the time and concentration that you invest so if you really are interested in reading something like this then definitely go for this book

I completely and highly recommend this book to each one of you and I will be really happy if you read this and let me know in the comment section how you found it.
